To remove the rear bumper on the Ford Escape, open the rear hatch so you can unbolt the screws at the top of the bumper. Once these screws are removed, you can unbolt those located inside the two wheel wells along with the appropriate rivets.

When all these fasteners are removed, you can detach the bumper from its housing. This way, you can insert the new replacement part, which should be secured with the appropriate bolts and rivets.
