Brake Pad Replacement

Model: Ford Focus MK 2, Focus 2 - Years 2004-2011
Part: Brake pads

Checking and replacing the brake pads is important as the efficiency of the braking system depends on them. To replace them, turn the steering wheel towards the side you wish to work on, making the calipers easily accessible. After lifting the car with a jack, take an Allen key and unscrew the bolts that secure the caliper to the hub at the rear. Once the bolts are removed, lift the caliper off the disc and press on the worn pipes to extract them. To insert the new pads, use a flat screwdriver to push back the piston.
