How to Replace the Front Brake Pads on a Ford Focus MK1

In this video, see how to replace the brake pads on a Ford Focus MK1: first, open the bonnet and remove the cap from the brake fluid reservoir, then undo the bolts from the front wheels and lift the car, securing it on axle stands (do not rely too much on your jack), then remove the front wheels. Clean the brake calipers thoroughly, even using WD-40, then remove the upper and lower bolts and move the caliper. Remove the brake pads and take out the brake piston. Then install the new pads, applying copper grease to the ends to prevent squeaking. Clean the disc well with an appropriate product and then reinstall the caliper: secure the springs and tighten the bolts, spraying copper grease in the central part. You can then replace the wheels and lower the car. Replace the brake fluid cap. Press the brake pedal a few times to circulate the fluid. Job done.
