Initially the machine is raised to work comfortably, it begins with the disassembly of the front wheel with a suitable wrench. Rotating the axle you will find on the back of the disc three plastic caps under which there are Allen screws that will be unscrewed to free the brake caliper, to extract the separate calipers the pads by helping you by levering with a flat and very wide screwdriver. Check the condition of the discs simply by swiping your finger over them, you shouldn't feel any noticeable grooves. In the event that it is necessary to replace the discs, remove them with gentle movements to prevent them from getting stuck and assemble the new pieces. Remove the pads and, taking the notch as a reference, check for wear and replace them if necessary. To replace them, first insert the internal pad and to put it in position help yourself with a C-clamp, also insert the other pad and reassemble the brake caliper in its place with the Allen screws covering them with the relative plastic cap. Finally, reassemble the wheel by screwing the bolts in a cross sequence and tighten them well once the car is brought back to the ground. Before starting the engine, turn on the ignition and pump the brake pedal a little to restore pressure to the system of your Ford Focus.
