Replacing Front Brake Pads

Model: Ford Focus MK 3 - Years 2011-2018

To replace the front brake pads, lift the vehicle on appropriate axle stands, remove the front wheel, and before starting to disassemble the caliper, leverage between the disc and the caliper to fully retract the piston. At this point, disconnect the outer retaining spring, remove the protective caps from the caliper mounting pins, and unscrew them to remove the caliper. Then, extract the old pads, ensure the piston is fully retracted, and insert the new ones. Proceed in reverse for reassembly, paying particular attention to reattach the outer spring.
