How to Replace the Battery on the Ford Escape

If you want to proceed with a DIY battery replacement on this vehicle, you can follow the instructions provided below and also refer to the video tutorial. First, open the hood and locate the battery on the right side just under the windshield. To remove it, you need to take out the box containing the air filter, and to do this, disconnect the air pressure sensor connector and loosen the hose clamp of the duct. After that, disconnect the negative terminal first and then the positive terminal. Then, remove the battery from its housing and place the new one in, reconnect the positive terminal first and then the negative, and finally reassemble the box containing the air filter.
