Repairing the Bumper Mounting Rib

If one of the bumper mounting ribs detaches from the wing during removal, you can fix it by gluing the rib back in place using a specific procedure that requires a special adhesive. Start by cleaning and degreasing the edges to be glued. Sand with coarse sandpaper and remove any debris with a craft knife. Apply a reinforcing metal mesh, securing it to both edges with a soldering iron. Place aluminium tape underneath and melt the special adhesive using the soldering iron. Once the joint has cooled, remove the tape and shape it with sandpaper.
