How to Replace the Shock Absorber Strut on a Ford Fiesta 6

This video tutorial will explain how to replace the front shock absorber strut on a Ford Fiesta 6. The first step is to open the bonnet. Using a wire brush and WS-40 spray, clean the fastening elements of the strut. Using a size 3 combination spanner, unscrew the upper fastening elements of the shock absorber mount. Now, lift the car with a jack and remove the wheels. Clean the stabiliser bars with the wire brush and spray, then unscrew the fastening elements connecting the tie rod to the strut. At this point, remove the strut and disconnect the ABS sensor wiring. Clean the elements connecting the flexible hose to the strut and disconnect the hose. Also, clean and remove the fastening elements connecting the hub to the strut. Unscrew the upper fastening element of the shock absorber mount and extract it. Now mount the shock absorber support on the spring compressor and tighten the spring. Treat the strut rod with WD-40, remove the nut from the strut, take off the support and bump stop. Release the spring from the special support and install the new shock absorber on the hydraulic compressor, then mount and tighten it. Install the dust cover, support, and bearing, tighten the screws, and release the spring. Now you can proceed with the assembly; use some degreaser on the mounting seats of the strut and screw it in. Mount the hub. Connect the brake hose bracket to the shock absorber support, connect the ABS, install the stabiliser strut, and tighten the elements. Continue to reassemble the last elements removed earlier, mount the front wheels, and you're done.
