How to Build a Windsurf Rack for a Ford Transit for Only £50

A truly economical method to build a practical windsurf rack for a Ford Transit. The cost does not exceed £50: you will only need "T" supports and aluminium profiles, some round foam, and black rubber caps. Additionally, you need some skill to bend the screws that will serve as supports on the roof of the Ford Transit. Now, let’s follow our cheerful surfers: cut the tube to size according to your needs; it should be the length of the board on one side, and on the other, it must be long enough to prevent it from slipping out of its housing, but not too long to make insertion difficult. The thickness must be sufficient to allow it to fit with its cover; it should not have too much play. At the bottom, place the foam to avoid damaging the board. Now, join the two pieces to mount them on the roof of the Transit with the "T" connectors. Join them at two points to ensure they are rigid enough. Attach them to the roof rails with long "U" screws to secure them properly. Now it’s time to load the windsurf. Secure it with straps that will be fixed to the roof rail. Job done.
