Removing the Car Steering Wheel
Model: Ford Fiesta
MK 6, Fiesta 6, MK VI
- Years 2008-2017
Removing the steering wheel from your car requires time and a good dose of patience. The following guide shows you how to do it. First, disconnect the negative terminal of the battery to avoid triggering the airbag while working, then disconnect the connection wires and remove it. Remove the screw in the centre of the steering wheel using a Torx key. Next, pull the steering wheel towards you, passing the wiring through the gap at the top. The indicator stalk will need to be removed by disconnecting the two contacts at the top. You will also need to free the upper cable from any clips and slightly loosen the metal clip located behind the indicator stalk. At this point, your work will be complete.
