How do you remove the airbag and steering wheel of a Ford Fiesta? Before removing the steering wheel, disconnect the battery terminals located in the engine bay. Here’s how to proceed with the disassembly: remove the inspection caps on the back of the steering wheel (if present), then unscrew the securing screws of the steering wheel cover (where the airbag is located) with a screwdriver.

Once the airbag is released, disconnect the power connectors and unscrew the large central pin of the steering wheel.

Remove the steering wheel and prepare to fit the new parts by reversing the previous steps.
