To replace the fuel pump on a Ford Focus, completely remove the rear seat bench to access the components underneath. Here, you will find the protective panel for the pump, which must be detached to access the pump below. Disconnect the pump from its housing by removing the fuel lines and extracting it from its seat. At this point, you can insert the new replacement part and refit all the components you previously removed.
