To reset the Sync 3 of the Ford Mustang radio, turn on the instrument cluster and consequently the central display, then press the PHONE button. After this has been selected, scroll through the menu that appears by pressing the down arrow button until you find the "Factory default" option: pressing the OK button will first show the message "Master reset" and then "Reset completed". Once the confirmation message appears, you can check that the reset has been successful by accessing the menu on the screen.
