Replacing the air filter in a Ford Transit Custom van, as shown in this tutorial, is an extremely simple and quick operation. First, ensure the engine is cool enough, then open the bonnet, locate the airbox, and by unscrewing the relevant screw, loosen the clamp securing the left manifold. Once both the manifold and the air pressure sensor are disconnected, unclip all the metal clips around the perimeter of the box and lift the top half. At this point, remove the filter, clean the housing, and fit the replacement.
