This video shows how to open the rear tailgate of the Ford Ecosport: it may seem straightforward, but it is not, as it is a somewhat unique tailgate. First of all, it does not open upwards but swings from right to left, like a normal door. This can be limiting when parked in line with another vehicle behind, making it difficult to open. Additionally, the handle is hidden in the rear light: on the left is the reversing light, while on the right is the handle, which you need to pull towards you to open the tailgate, which is wide and easily accessible.
