Performing a Hard Reset on the Ford Edge Radio

In this video, learn how to perform a hard reset on the radio system of a Ford Edge. The issue presented is a completely black screen. This method works in about 90% of cases, so it’s worth a try. You will need the owner's manual, as you will be working around the fuses, specifically fuse 29, which is related to the Sync module and is 20 Amperes, located in the driver's side fuse box. Fuse number 29 is at the bottom of the second row. Remove it and wait about 30 seconds before reinserting it. It seems the hard reset has worked! The screen has come back on, and the radio is functioning again. Remove the navigation card to restore all factory settings to prevent any malfunction. If it fails again, you will need to visit the dealership to replace the module.
