In this tutorial video, you will see how to adjust the handbrake cable on a Ford Focus, second generation model produced from 2004 to 2011, in just a few simple steps. The operation is very straightforward: first, remove the plastic from the centre tunnel around the handbrake lever and then remove its gaiter.

Once done, you will immediately see the adjustment nut that controls the tension of the handbrake cable, so to adjust it, simply tighten or loosen the tension of the nut with a 13mm spanner.
