The remote for opening and closing the doors of the Ford Ecosport can come in two types depending on the trim. For the type with a folding key blade, insert a small screwdriver into the side of the remote body and push down the latch to release the battery cover, lift the cover and use the screwdriver to remove the depleted battery, replace it with a new CR2032, and close the cover.

For the model without the external key, remove the emergency blade, use a coin to lever open the battery cover, use a small screwdriver to take out the old battery, install a new CR2032, and close the cover.
