Replacing the battery (CR 2032 version) in the remote key for this Ford model is quite simple. You need a small flathead screwdriver; just below the logo on the back shell of the key, there is a small slot where you can insert the screwdriver tip and lever it to separate the mechanical key from the remote part. At this point, lever in the gap between the two shells of the remote to separate them and access the battery compartment for replacement.
