Change the battery in a Ford Mondeo key remote by following these simple steps. Take your remote and press the release button of the metal key. Use a screwdriver to pry between the two covers of the key. Pry until the cover opens, then remove the worn battery with a small screwdriver, and take a new one of the same size and voltage. Refit the cover on your remote by pressing on the key case until you hear it click into place. Check the remote's proper functioning by pressing the buttons.
