This tutorial shows how to replace the gear gaiter in the Ford S-Max, a very simple and quick operation. First, go inside the cabin, then grasp the chrome ring below the knob, rotate it counterclockwise and detach the gaiter.

Next, separate the knob from the shaft by unscrewing it completely, unclip the base of the gaiter by prying along its perimeter, and remove it as well. At this point, simply position the replacement and reassemble everything following the exact reverse procedure.
