Video tutorial

To maintain healthy air in the cabin of your GMC Sierra, you may need to replace the cabin air filter. In this video, you will see how. The filter is located behind the glove compartment, which you will need to remove; first, unscrew the two screws at the back that hold it in place.

Now open both doors and unscrew the two screws on the sides as shown at minute 1:00. At this point, you can pull out the piece; behind it, you will find the filter housing, which you need to open. Remove the filter and replace it with the new one. Now, close the filter housing and reassemble the glove compartment.

It is recommended to replace the filter every 15,000 mi or once a year.
