GMC Sierra: How to Reset the Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) Sensors

To reprogram the TPMS sensors on the GMC Sierra, start by placing the vehicle in a safe position and ensure the ignition is in Park (P). Press the start button to turn on the ignition without starting the engine. Using the steering wheel controls, scroll through the central display menu until the Tire Pressure (PSI) screen appears with the four wheels displayed. From this screen, activate the sensor learning mode until the message Tire Learning Active appears on the display. At this point, use the TPMS activation tool EL-50448. Place the body of the tool near the valve of the front driver-side tire and press the button until you hear the horn: the sensor for that tire has been recognized. Continue following the order indicated for GMC vehicles: passenger front, passenger rear, driver rear, repeating the operation each time with the EL-50448 near the valve until the horn confirms learning. When all four wheels have been programmed, the learning mode deactivates, and the GMC Sierra display returns to the Tire Pressure screen with updated values, confirming the TPMS system reset is complete.
