How to Program a Second Key for the GMC Terrain

To program a second ignition key for this vehicle, follow the instructions below and refer to the images in the video. First, take the new key to be programmed and insert it into the ignition switch, turning it to position 1. Wait for 10 minutes until the key not recognized warning light on the instrument panel turns off. At this point, turn the key to the off position and then back to position 1, waiting another 10 minutes until the lock symbol warning light turns off. At this point, the new key will be programmed.
