To replace the front brake pads on a GMC Terrain, lift the vehicle to loosen the bolts securing the corresponding wheel. Once the wheel is removed, access the components at the back: unscrew the bolts securing the brake caliper to remove it and slide out the pads inside.

At this point, insert the new pads so that the caliper can be positioned over the rotor and secured; finally, reinstall the corresponding wheel.
