Before we can begin, we will have to go and place our Harley Davidson Electra Glide upright, and then, if possible, raise it, so as to work more comfortably on the front fender. So let's start by unscrewing and removing the bolts that secure the front fender to the relative swingarm. Once we have removed the mounting bolts, we will have freed the front fender itself. At this point, there is nothing left to do but disengage and remove the front fender. When we have completed this last step, we will have finished the disassembly.

How do you change the engine oil of the BMW R 1200 GS?

The replacement of the engine oil of the BMW R 1200 GS is carried out by loosening the bolts that secure the skid plate positioned in the lower part of the bike. Once this plate has been removed, it will be possible to unscrew the drain plug below, so that the used oil can be collected inside a suitably positioned container. Next to the drain plug you will find the oil filter, which in turn must be extracted and replaced with a new one. After the replacement, it will be possible to top up from the special vent on the crankcase to the left of the bike.
