Start by removing the seat from your Harley Davidson Electra Glide by unscrewing the securing bolt. Next, disconnect the connector attached to the fuel pump, then attempt to start the engine. This will stop the flow of fuel from the tank. Proceed by disconnecting the fuel hose connected to the tank. At this point, remove the instrumentation on the tank by unscrewing the fixing screws and disconnecting the relevant electrical connectors. Once this step is complete, unscrew and remove the bolts securing the tank to the frame, then remove the tank itself, completing the disassembly.
