Let's start by disassembling and removing the seat of our Harley Davidson Electra Glide, unscrewing the relative fixing bolt. After that, we will have to disconnect the connector connected to the petrol pump, and then try to start the engine. By doing so, we will stop the flow of gasoline from the tank. We then proceed by going to unhook and disconnect the sleeve of the petrol pipe connected to the tank. At this point, we will have to disassemble and remove the instrumentation on the tank, unscrewing the fixing screws and disconnecting the relative electrical connectors. When we have completed this last step, we will have to unscrew and remove the bolts that secure the tank to the frame, and then remove the tank itself, and we will have finished the disassembly.

How do you change the engine oil of the BMW R 1200 GS?

The replacement of the engine oil of the BMW R 1200 GS is carried out by loosening the bolts that secure the skid plate positioned in the lower part of the bike. Once this plate has been removed, it will be possible to unscrew the drain plug below, so that the used oil can be collected inside a suitably positioned container. Next to the drain plug you will find the oil filter, which in turn must be extracted and replaced with a new one. After the replacement, it will be possible to top up from the special vent on the crankcase to the left of the bike.
