Today we will see how to reset the TPMS light on a 2009 Honda Accord. To reset the light, we need to insert the key into the ignition and turn on the instrument panel, press the TPMS button located on the lower left side of the dashboard and hold the button until the light stops flashing.

This operation takes between 5 and 10 seconds. Then it is necessary to start the engine and drive the vehicle for 10/20 minutes, in order to set the pressure, during the drive the vehicle will monitor the pressure and correct it automatically.

If the light remains on after driving for a considerable amount of time, there may be a problem with the sensors, in this case it is necessary to consult a mechanic for a more in-depth diagnosis. Resetting the pressure without first inflating the tires does not solve the problem of the light and the system will learn the incorrect pressure which will turn on later, so before performing the reset always inflate the tires.

In case of suspected pressure sensor problem, it is necessary to have it checked by a qualified technician as correct operation is essential for safety.
