In this interesting video, it is pointed out what could be the reason for a defect that occurs with a certain frequency on the 2012 Honda Civic, both in the MK8 and MK9 versions: the car, which does not have any warning lights on, shows hesitations during acceleration around 2000/2200 rpm. Despite cleaning the MAF sensor and checking the throttle body, the situation did not improve, and fortunately the youtuber did a check that was able to give an indication to all those who had the same problem, which was a break in the fold of the air intake tube. In this way, unmeasured air entered the throttle body, causing hesitation during acceleration.
