Honda CR-V - Video tutorial

Model: Honda CR-V MK 3 - Years 2007-2012
Part: Mass air flow sensor
Operation: How to clean the mass air flow sensor of a Honda CR-V.

Some problems in the performance of the engine can be caused by a dirty mass air flow sensor that does not perform its readings correctly. In this video we will see how to clean it in our Honda CR-V. First we disconnect the cables as shown at minute 0: 05. Now, with the help of a Phillips screwdriver, we will be able to unscrew the two screws that hold the mass air flow sensor in its position. At this point we will be able to extract the mass air flow sensor and clean it by spraying it with the appropriate product. At this point we will be able to reinsert it, re-tightening the two screws (making sure not to overtighten them) and reattaching the cables.

First of all we open the front door, on the driver's side, and start pulling the opening lever of the engine hood, in order to open the lock; then let's move to the front of the vehicle and unhook the tab that we find on the central part, above the manufacturer's emblem, as shown in the video. At this point we block the bonnet with the lateral rod; then we accompany the bonnet down to close it again!
