How to Clean the MAF Sensor on Honda CR-V III

Let's see how to clean the MAF sensor of a Honda CR-V with a 2.4 engine and all-wheel drive. The vehicle has an error code P0101 which corresponds to the MAF sensor attached to the pipe that comes out of the air filter, just after the filter box, before the pipe enters the engine. It is a small electrical component with a connector with wires attached. It is easily identifiable as it has two wires and an electrical plug. When you open the bonnet, you will find the grey filter box, then just after, on the pipe, is the MAF sensor and further ahead is the throttle body. For cleaning, you will need a specific product like Powermax PT35006 which can be found on eBay with the code 357991469330 for £14.99, with free delivery. Spray well to remove dirt and residues and let it sit for 5 minutes before reassembling. Insert the sensor, the rubber gasket, and align the holes. Reinsert the screws, tighten without forcing, and reconnect the electrical connector.
