How to Reset the Service Light on a Honda Civic

To reset the service light on a Honda Civic, turn on the ignition without starting the engine and use the steering wheel controls to access the onboard computer display. Navigate to the Maintenance Minder screen and select the maintenance reminder. At this point, press and hold the ENTER or OK button, depending on the version, until the reset request appears. After confirming the operation, the system automatically updates the maintenance interval and clears the warning from the instrument cluster. To verify the reset, simply turn off and then turn on the ignition again.
