Engine Air Filter Replacement

Model: Honda Civic MK 6 - Years 1995-2001

Once you open the front bonnet, the engine air filter housing is located at the rear of the engine: unscrew the fastening screws of the cover and remove it to extract the old filter. Ensure there are no residues inside the housing (remove them with a vacuum cleaner if necessary) and insert the new filter, making sure it fits snugly along the edges to guarantee a proper seal when the cover is reattached. Then, tighten the cover fastening bolts. You may choose to install a racing-type filter, which, in addition to improving engine performance, will simply need to be washed during subsequent maintenance rather than replaced.
