To replace the third brake light bulb in a Honda Civic, lift the boot lid and remove the inner panel to access the components underneath. Once the panel is removed, you can pull the bulb from the back of the third brake light housing, disconnecting the related connector as well. The new bulb should then be connected to its connector and inserted into the appropriate housing. After installation, reinstall the inner covers of the boot lid.
