Raise the car on suitable car stands and remove the front wheel; Before disassembling the head of the steering box tie rod, count the number of free threads on the tie rod itself, in order to have a reference to maintain the toe-in. Then loosen the lock nut of the tie rod, remove the safety split pin and unscrew the head fixing nut; use the extractor to remove it (if necessary) and unscrew it from the tie rod by counting the number of turns. Then remove the boot from the tie rod to access the ball hinge that secures the tie rod to the steering gear rack. Unscrew the tie rod and apply the new one, tightening it carefully. Insert and fix the new cap with the relative clamps and finally apply the new head by screwing it the same number of turns, position it in its seat, tighten the fixing nut, apply the split pin and tighten the counter nut.
