How to Replace the Key Cover on a Honda Accord

If you want to replace your Honda Accord key with the new flip key, you are in the right video! Once you have purchased the new cover, this video will show you how to replace it. Start by opening the old remote and extracting the metal key and the internal electronic body with the buttons. Now open the new remote, and the next steps will involve imprinting the contacts and the key onto the new remote. To connect the contacts, simply place the electronic body in its housing corresponding to the button holes. Replacing the metal key requires a bit more effort and a hacksaw for aluminium. Remove the false metal key from the new cover, taking care not to lose the small spring and the small pin (remove as shown in the video) that hold it securely to the cover. Now overlay the original key and the false key, and trim the excess part from the original. Insert the original key into the central pin and reassemble the snap mechanism. You can now reattach the remote cover to complete the operation.
