Position the car on a ramp and lift it to a height that allows you to work underneath. Locate the position of the front arm and undo the 4 bolts securing its head and the support that holds it in place using the appropriate spanner.

Use a suitable tool as a lever to move the arm and remove the head gasket. Insert the new head gasket and reposition the locking support.

Tighten the 4 bolts that secure the arm. Now place a hydraulic jack under the front axle and lift the wheel slightly to tighten the bolt that secures the gasket. This replacement is performed on a Honda CR-V.
