On the Honda Pilot, the fuel door may become stuck due to a malfunction of the release button or the lock actuator. In these cases, you can perform an emergency opening by following the procedure shown in this tutorial.

First, open the trunk. Then, remove the panel located on the left side of the compartment using the emergency key. Next, locate the actuator mechanism, grasp it, and operate it manually.

At this point, the fuel door will be free to open, allowing you to refuel.
