How to Reset the Oil Light on a Honda Accord

If you have just changed the engine oil and filter on your Honda Accord, but the warning light remains illuminated on the instrument panel, you need to manually reset the light. Follow these steps to complete the operation in seconds.

First, sit in the driver's seat and turn on the ignition; then locate the button on the right side of the panel and press it several times until the engine oil screen appears on the display. At this point, press and hold the same button until the display starts to flash.

Finally, keep it pressed one last time until the reset is complete.
