Replace Key Battery in Hyundai i40

Follow these steps to remove and replace the battery in the remote key of a Hyundai i40: Take your remote and press the metal key release button; once the metal key pops out, use a screwdriver to pry between the two covers of the key (in the space where the metal key fits). Pry until the two covers separate, then remove the battery to be replaced. Fit the new battery and reassemble the two covers (insert the key into the cover). Check the remote's proper functioning by pressing the buttons.
