How to Replace the Fan Resistor on the Hyundai i20

Model: Hyundai I20 GB, IB, MK 2 - Years 2014-2021

To replace the climate control fan resistor on the Hyundai i20, first open the driver's door, as the resistor is located under the dashboard, behind the plastic panel of the centre tunnel. Remove the plastic cover by unscrewing the cross-head screws with a screwdriver. Once removed, you will have access to the resistor, which is secured with two screws. Unscrew them and pull out the old resistor. Disconnect the electrical connector by pressing the side latch. Insert the new resistor (available on tarostrade.it with EAN code 3800997032193 for £10.41 + £8.98 delivery) reconnect the connector and secure it with the screws. Refit the plastic panel and check the fan operation at different speeds. If the fan works correctly at all speeds, the replacement was successful. This procedure is valid for most i20 models.
