How to Remove the Steering Wheel and Airbag from a Hyundai ix35

If you need to remove the airbag for replacement or because you no longer want to use it, you are in the right place. Park and secure the vehicle safely. Disconnect the battery from the negative terminal. Wait for 30 minutes, then remove the airbag fuse using the appropriate extractor before starting the work. You can find the fuse box in the cabin; locate its position on the cover. Now turn the steering wheel to access the two Torx 30 screws on either side. Remove the central part of the steering wheel. Disconnect the two clips from the connectors. Now, loosen the 22mm bolt to replace the airbag and refit the new steering wheel.
