Removing the Airbag on a Hyundai Ix35

Do you want to replace the airbag on the steering wheel of the Hyundai Ix35? Here’s how to do it. Remove the inspection caps at the back of the steering wheel (if present), then unscrew the securing screws of the steering wheel cover (the airbag) with a socket or screwdriver. Once the airbag is disengaged (driver's side), disconnect the airbag power connectors from the battery. Remove it from the steering wheel. Install the airbag back onto the steering wheel. Connect the power connectors, then press it onto the steering wheel while simultaneously screwing in the screws at the back of the plastics.
