Brake Pedal Switch Replacement

If the Electronic Stability Control (ESC) warning light remains illuminated on the dashboard, there is likely an issue with the brake pedal switch. Replacing this switch is straightforward as it is secured to a bracket just above the brake pedal with a nut-and-bolt system. First, access the switch on the brake pedal, then undo the lower nut to remove it from the support bracket and disconnect the connector. Next, fit the new switch and secure it back to the bracket by tightening the corresponding nut.
