Replacement of Cabin Lights Fuse

Model: Hyundai Sonata EF - Years 1998-2005

The fuse is an electrical device that protects a circuit from overcurrents (caused, for example, by short circuits). The operation is very simple: the fuse consists of a cartridge with a thin conductor wire that carries the nominal current of the circuit being protected; this wire is the actual fusible element, with a specific amperage rating. When an overcurrent occurs, the filament melts, opening the circuit. Therefore, if the bulbs do not light up after replacement, it is likely that the corresponding fuse has blown; the fuse box is located at the lower left of the dashboard on the driver's side; open the cover and remove the yellow fuse holder to replace the 10 Amp fuse with one of the same rating.
