In this video, we see how to behave if the battery of our car suddenly runs out, or if the battery light comes on. The car in the video is a 2008 Hyundai Sonata, but the concept is generally applicable to all cars. The reason is almost certainly a malfunctioning alternator, but before replacing it, it is worth trying to check the relevant fuse. So let's check the owner's manual - or one of our tutorials - to see which fuse is related to the alternator, and test it with a voltmeter or a multimeter (which will work fine). The fuse is not the problem in this case, so the issue is likely with the alternator or the wiring.
