Alternator Replacement Instructions

Model: Hyundai Sonata EF - Years 1998-2005
Part: Alternator

Before proceeding with the alternator removal, disconnect the negative terminal of the battery. The alternator is located at the rear left of the engine bay (when facing the front) and can be accessed from above; disconnect the cables and the connector from the terminal block, loosen the belt, and unscrew the fixing bolts. Remove the alternator from its location and fit the new one (it is recommended to opt for a refurbished product), checking the tension and amperage as well as the shape of the pulley. Proceed to secure it, reconnect the cables, and reposition the belt.
