Hyundai I40 - Video tutorial

Model: Hyundai I40 MK 1 - Years 2011-2019
Part: Cabin air filter
Operation: How to replace the cabin filter on a Hyundai i40.

In this video tutorial, we can see how to replace the cabin filter on a Hyundai I 40, following a few simple steps: the first thing we need to do is purchase a new cabin filter. The second step is to get inside the car and turn off the engine, pull the handbrake. The cabin filter in this car is located behind the glove compartment, so we need to lower the tray, remove all the objects inside it; unscrew the knobs we see inside on both sides of the tray. Once these knobs are removed, we need to remove the pin on the right outside of the compartment. At this point, the tray lowers completely and we are faced with the cover of the cabin filter, remove the cover, remove the filter, clean the housing and place the new cabin filter (follow the arrow indications, according to the airflow).

Handbrake adjustment on Ford Ecosport

First remove the plastic profile at the base of the gear lever. To do this, slightly widen the side edges and carefully lift it to release it. There is no need to remove it completely, just move it forward to avoid bother. Now remove the plastic center console around the handbrake by first working from the rear to release it and lifting it until the brake lever passes. Also in this case it is not necessary to remove it completely but, paying attention to the connected cables, it can be stowed in front of the passenger seat. At this point we notice that at the base of the handbrake lever, on the front, we find a nut. By acting on it, with a 10 wrench, we can adjust the brake force, increasing it by turning the nut clockwise, or decreasing it by turning it counterclockwise. Once adjusted, the center console can be repositioned first, pressing lightly to engage it, and then the profile of the gearbox base.
