ARB recovery points are approved metal devices designed to be mounted on a vehicle's chassis to provide a secure attachment during off-road recovery operations. You can find this original ARB accessory on Amazon with the code B07N1JR6SV at a price of £257.06 each with free delivery in 30 days (two are needed, one for the driver’s side and one for the passenger side). You will also need a tail nut, a special nut that must be bent to an 'L' shape and inserted into a cavity of the chassis to serve as a fastening nut for one of the bolts. Remove the skid plates and insert the tail nut into a specific hole near the lower control arm, with the tail protruding forward. The ARB recovery point hooks under the tip of the original tow hook and aligns with the chassis holes. Insert two front bolts (one M10 and one M12 with a flanged nut) that are inserted into a rear hole. The final bolt passes through the tail of the previously positioned nut. All bolts are hand-tightened; refit the skid plates (which may need to be re-adapted). When everything is aligned, proceed to tighten all bolts to the specified torque. The vehicle is now ready for safe recoveries, with approved points that can withstand the forces of a pull.
