How to replace the key shell of the Jaguar XF

In this video, we see how to change the shell of the key for the Jaguar XF MK1. First, let's get a new shell for the replacement: we can find it, for example, on eBay with the code 126538724828 at a price of 17.58 euros, with free delivery. Then, we open the old damaged shell and remove the button battery, or take the opportunity to replace it with a new one; it is a common CR2032. We remove the security key and then the printed circuit, which must be removed from the plastic plate by cutting the security with a cutter. Now we have to reposition everything in the new remote control: we open it and insert the circuit into the support plate, then we put the battery in its housing; we join the two parts by placing the spring, make sure it works, and then put the metal finishes in place. Now it's time for the security key, which finishes everything off.
